Obituary for Bobby Persful
Bobby Rae Persful was born January 30, 1942 in Opelousas, Louisiana to O.B. Persful and Alene Rice. He entered the Kingdom of Our Lord on Friday, August 11, 2023, in the presence of his daughter, at the age of 81.
Graveside Service: 11am Saturday, August 19, 2023, will be at Steward’s Mill Cemetery in Steward’s Mill, Texas.
Bobby met his future wife, Jerrye Steward, at Tyler Junior College and then they went to North Texas State College together. Bobby and Jerrye married on January 8, 1966, in Fairfield, Texas. They had two children, Paige and Jeff, and raised them both in Lewisville, Texas. Bobby was employed by Delta Airlines for many years until he became disabled.
Bobby was a strong believer in the Lord and watched the Shepherd’s Chapel every morning. He was so proud of the fact that both of his children as well as all his grandchildren are Christ followers.
Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Jerrye Steward Persful, and his parents, O.B. and Alene Persful.
Bobby is survived by his children, Paige McNamara and husband Jerry; Jeffry Persful and wife, Shannon; grandchildren, Bryce and Cailin McNamara; Jackson, Reid, Olivia and Eli Persful; brother, David Persful and niece Heather Cheatham. As well as several cousins.
A special thanks to Dignity Hospice for all the help that they supplied to Bobby and his family during the last week of his life.
