Brenda Ross Whitson, 68 of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023. She was born Jan 25, 1955, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Doris and Alton Ross. She was an LVN and worked as a home health and hospice nurse for over 30 years. She dedicated her life to caring for others in Freestone County and the surrounding areas. Brenda loved music, fishing, horse races and watching the Little League World Series with her husband, Billy Whitson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Billy Wilson Whitson; parents, Doris and Alton Ross; brother, Forrest "Boo" Ross.

She is survived by; daughters, Abby Warren, Ashley Whitson and husband Jonathan Orms; grandchildren, Ross Warren & fiancé Autum Sleziak, Bailey Warren & fiancé Austin Brogden, Hannah Warren, Titus and Freya Orms; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Kolt Brogden, Alora and Sawyer Warren; siblings, Cynthia "Teeter" and husband Jack Polvadore, Steve Ross, Micheal and wife Lanette Ross; sister-in-law, Linda Ross and numerous nieces & nephews.
