Obituary for HATTIE RAYE LOTT

Hattie Raye Lott, 95, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in her home. Mrs. Lott was born October 8, 1924 in Freestone County to parents William Lee and Ruthie Viola Barnes Smith.
Raye accepted Jesus into her heart when she was just a young mother. Ever since that day she wanted everyone (young and old) to hear about the Lord. She prayed constantly for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a true prayer warrior.
Raye loved helping people so she decided to become a nurse. She worked at various hospitals and nursing homes. She retired from the Mexia State Hospital. After retiring she began setting with people in their homes. She did this until she was 81 years old. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Raymond Lott, Jr., Ray Lott and Arthur Lott; three daughters, Jean Charles; Mona Bradley and Ara Lee Lott Bates; a grandson, Jonathan Charles and a great-grandson, Roland Allen.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Eloise Taylor of Mansfield, TX; Darlene Hughes of Mt. Pleasant, TX; six sons, Jack Lott of Tyler, TX; J. T. Lott and wife Erline of Eddy, TX; Floyd Lott and wife Sherry of Frankston, TX; Oscar Lott and Sid Lott both of Fairfield, TX; son-in-law, James Bradley of Mt. Pleasant, TX. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. She loved them all dearly and the love was returned.
