Homer William “Dude” Robertson, Jr. was born on March 3, 1988 to Homer and Margaret Robertson in Fairfield, Texas. Growing up he loved to play baseball, soccer, and basketball. He spent many weekends racing dirt bikes and four wheelers. He always loved when his sister’s friends would take him mudding. Dude also was involved in FFA where he showed heifers and lambs. He even received Reserved Grand Champion for his lamb during the Freestone County Fair. As a youth in Freestone County he always loved the county fair. He would help his dad in the Lion’s Club booth, and spend his day running around the fairgrounds. Homer was employed with by J&S Meat Market. He took pride in his job, and was very thankful to the Sherber Family for showing him the ins and outs of the meat market.
Of all his accomplishments, his greatest was being an Uncle Dude. He would spend many weekends at the playground with Landree and Emma. He would practice softball, jump on the trampoline, and loved to take them swimming. His last visit with the girls was spent teaching them about how to shoot a sling shot, and fly a kite. Dude was a great Uncle Dude.
On April 5, 2021 he married the love of his life Delila Stefanowich. He loved her with everything he had. He loved spending their time with their nieces and loved going to the lake.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Delila of Fairfield; his mother Margaret Robertson and Chuck Huffman of Palestine; one sister LaMina Kelley and husband Jason of Huntsville and their daughters Landree Marie, Emma Sloane, and Graci Lo; one brother Jeremy Robertson and wife Crystal of Wortham and their children Wyatt and Brooke. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is proceeded in death his father, Homer William Robertson, his grandparents Henry and Mina Gonzales, Homer Jesse Robertson and Vivian Campbell.
