Obituary for KIM C. JOHNSON
Kim Johnson went to meet his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 4th at age 58. Kim was known for his love for his family, church, motorcycles and the prison ministry.
He was raised in Barry, Texas and has resided in Fairfield, Texas for the last 36 years.
He worked as a prison guard in the local prison system for 27 years. He recently retired and served as a volunteer assistant chaplain in the Boyd Unit.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mom and two uncles. He is survived by his wife, Susan Johnson of 38 years; daughter and son-in-law Lacey and Larry Watson; three grandchildren, Louren, Landry and Logan Watson; a sister, Glenna Haggerty and several loved ones.
A celebration of Kim’s life was held at the River of Life Worship, 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2019 with interment to follow at Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. also at the church.
