Obituary for Paul Glyndon Marberry

Paul Glyndon Marberry was born November 24, 1935, in Van, Texas, to John and Pauline Marberry.

Paul or Glyndon, as many people knew him, was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, parents, John and Pauline Marberry, his brothers, Bill and Doug Marberry, and his sister, Patricia Ann Crocker. He is survived by sons, Paul Marberry and wife Susan of Towe, Texas, and Timmy Marberry of Fairfield, daughter, Darla Marberry of Streetman, step-daughters Sandi Davis and Pansy Boles, step-sons Randy Whitener, Dandy Whitener, grandsons Brandon Marberry, Preston Marberry, Tony Marberry, Bo Whitener; granddaughters, Amber Gallegos, Heather Bruckner, Paula Cates, Kelli Tepe, Eryn Mc Alister and great-grandchildren , Kensler, Asher, Kyson, Ollie, Blayton, Jake, Kenneth, Paige, Jonah, Bella, Mikayla, Mariah,Caleb, Andi, Chloe, Ellie, Hayleigh and one sister, Mary Baugh and husband Jimmy of Eddy, and a host of nephews and nieces.

Paul attended school in Kirvin and in Wortham, where he was an outstanding basketball player. He was a 1955 graduate of Wortham High School. After graduation, he joined the Marines and spent four years in active duty,

After a stint in the Marines, Paul joined his dad, working as a welder for Chicago Bridge and Iron Company, where he traveled the United States building water towers, oil and gas containers, and holding tanks. After retirement, he lived in the Fairfield/Streetman area.

His health has not been good for the last few years, and he passed peacefully from this world on February 19, 2023, at his home in Streetman.

He will be greatly missed! A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, February 27, 2023, at 2 PM, at Caney Baptist Church, located at 438 FM 833, Streetman.

Paul has entered the Kingdom of God into the arms of our Heavenly Father.
