Janice Sue (Jan) Allen, 63, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Fairfield. Jan was born June 3, 1956 in Beaumont, Texas at Beaumont Baptist Hospital to parents Plumber Jefferson (P.J.) Cryer and Bessie Marie Cowart Cryer. She was raised in Baytown and at sixteen married her husband Tony. She then joined him in Grafenwoehr, Germany where she would later receive her high school diploma. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Blanch Allen; a sister-in-law, Tonja Vaughn and two brothers-in-law, Glenn Hamilton and Robert Sellers.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 48 years, Tony; four children, Greg Allen and wife Shelly of Hillsboro; Bessie Lamb of Fairfield; Quincy Allen and husband Clayton Aldrich; Kalop Allen and wife Crystal Wettermark; grandchildren, Turner, Jackson and Aydon Allen; Brianna and Evan Lamb; Kaylee, Nicole (Nikki) and Michael (Mikey) Pickering; Lily Allen; Shannon Heinen, Lisa Aldrich Guidry and Makenzie Aldrich; a brother, Larry Cryer and wife Deanna; two sisters, Judy Sanders and Joyce Sellers; and of utmost importance, four fur babies, Teddy, Cinch, Tigger and Molly; also a very supporting, appreciated, and loved Calvary Baptist Church body. More friends than we could name and “kids” of every age range that she influenced.

When I was diagnosed with Cancer, Jan explained every step to me and calmed my raging thoughts. She has always been a special friend. She was always so upbeat every time you met her. Just a ray of sunshine. She will be missed by many, especially me.

I loved Jan and Tony like they were my blood family. I grew up next to them as neighbors while going to school in Buffalo, Tx and later lived with both of them in Streetman, Tx. Jan always had a warm smile on her face and love in her heart. I will miss you Jan.....
